Glassbreak Detectors

Glassbreak detectors can add a higher level of protection, especially if your businesses’ architecture includes many large windows. Glassbreaks detect the sound of breaking glass and alert the control panel and our Central Station of an intrusion. They are a very effective way to decrease detection time during an attempted intrusion.

Benefits

The glass detector uses microprocessor-based Sound Analysis Technology (SAT) to listen for the specific frequencies associated with breaking glass. The detector can be used to detect breakage of plate, tempered, laminated and wired glass types. A built-in environmental test feature alerts the installer of false alarm hazards in harsh environments. A round cover design is available. Glassbreak detectors are intended only as perimeter protection devices. They should always be backed up with motion sensors.

  • Decrease detection time during an attempted intrusion
  • Activate alarm at the first sign of breaking glass—before intruder is able to force entry
  • Provide an alternate means of protecting “fixed” glass
  • Economically secure several windows in a common area because of their extended range capability
  • Our professionals can help determine if Glassbreak detectors are right for your business.
